Maintains homeostasis so you can be at the right temperature so you don't die, and so you can play. Controls your reflex's so that when the ball is about to hit you, you cover your face to protect it or to catch the ball. Receives information to let your body know if you have to catch the ball, swing the bat, run, etc. Responds to information, if you see a ball coming your brain will respond by telling you to catch it. Organs Brain, skin, spinal cord. Tissues Connective tissue, nervous tissue. Cells Brain cells, nerve cells (neuron). |
Respiratory System
Collects oxygen for body to create energy so you can play . Removes carbon dioxide from the body so you can live to play Respiration is in which oxygen and glucose undergo a complex series of chemical reactions inside cells. Organs Nose, Pharynx trachea, lungs, diaphragm. Tissues Smooth muscle tissue, cardiac muscle tissue, blood vessels, blood- arteries, veins, capillaries. Cells Red blood cells, nerve cells , lung cells, muscle cells. |
